1. Diethylene glycol dimethyl ether also known as Diglyme, is an aprotic polar solvent, which can be used in polar organic reactions, anionic polymerization and coordination ion polymerization. It can be used as a reaction solvent for reductive alkylation, chemicalbook and condensation. It can also be used as a medium for Grignard and similar synthesis. It can also be used as a pollution-free cleaning agent, extractant, diluent, pharmaceutical auxiliary and resin solvent.
